Sorakaya Pachadi/Dhoodi/Lauki Pickle
Ingredients:
Sorakaya/Dhoodi:-1/2 lb
Cumin seeds:-1/2 tsp
Chana dal:-3 tbsp
Urad dal:-3 tbsp
Curry leaves:-1 string
Green chillis:-5
Tamarind extract:-1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds and urad dal:-1/2 tsp
Oil:-1 tbsp
Salt :-as per taste

METHOD:
- Peel and chop dhoodi into small pieces.
- Heat oil in a tawa and add half the cumin,curry leaves,green chillies,chana dal,urad dal and let them splutter and add chopped dhoodi.
- Fry them well and blend them together with tamarind extract and salt.
- Do the tadka with mustard,cumin,curry leaves and urad dal and add to chutney.
- Serve with hot rice.
