Chocolate Walnut Muffins

The word cake brings me back my childhood days where my mom used to bake it with help of cooker and sand.Though its preparation is a vague memory,i remembered it gulping it down eagerly to eat as much as possible.Such was the wonderful taste of it.
Gone are those conventional methods to bake a cake once oven came into picture.Back in india, though baking a cake in oven is a bit rare in household as many dont possess an oven, But here in US,baking cake is a very common sight. Here mom's make cakes for all occasions.
I had few leftover chocolate cubes and some maida. So i jus tried this simple cake recipe which turned out to be very yummy.

Ingredients:
All-purpose flour/Maida:-1 cup
Powdered sugar:-1 cup
Hersheys milk choclates:-5 cubes.
Walnuts:-1/2 cup
Baking powder:-1/2 tsp
Eggs:-2
Milk:-1/2 cup
Ghee:-1 tbsp
METHOD:

  • Pre heat oven at 250.
  • Beat egg and whisk it well.
  • Add chocolate to milk and microwave it for 3 min.
  • Disslove sugar in egg mixture and mix the flour, baking powder, chocolate milk.
  • Grease a baking tray with ghee and pour in the cake mixture and spread evenly or use a muffin pan.
  • Break walnuts into small pieces and sprinkle on top or mix in the cake mixture.
  • Bake it for 20-25 min or until done using the toothpick test.
  • Cut into pieces and serve.

TIP:Toothpick test is the test to know if the cake is completely baked or not.Take a toothpick or knife and dip it in cake.If it comes out clean without sticking, then the cake is baked well.
