Spinach Garlic curry/Recipe for nursing mothers

This recipe is supposed to help milk production in nursing mothers as it contains lot of garlic and garlic is believed to be very good for nursing mothers..So feel free to add garlic as per ur taste.

Ingredients:

Spinach:-1 bunch
Chopped Garlic:-1/4 cup
Chopped onion:-1/2 cup
Mustard seeds,jeera,curryleaves,urad dal for tadka
Besan Flour:-1 tbsp
Salt and chillipowder:-as per taste
Oil:-1 tbsp
Method:

  • Chop palak finely.
  • Mix besan in little water without lumps and set aside.
  • Heat oil in pan and add the tadka ingredients and fry till done.
  • Add chopped onion and fry till light brown.
  • Add chopped garlic and fry.
  • Add chopped palak and fry till palak is cooked well.
  • Add salt and chilli powder.
  • Add the besan mix and add little water and cook on low flame till besan is cooked and curry comes together.
  • Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with rice and papad.

    Coffee vanilla design cake



    Ingredients:

    All purpoe flour:-1 cup
    Eggs:-2
    Sugar:-1 cup
    Oil:-1/3 cup
    Baking powder:-2 tsp
    Coffee Powder:-1 tbsp
    Hot milk/water:-1/2 cup
    Vanilla essence:-1 tsp

    METHOD:
    • Beat eggs,sugar,oil,vanilla essence together.
    • Dissolve coffee in 2 tbsp of milk.
    • Sieve flour and baking powder and add milk and egg mixture and mix well.
    • Divide the batter into 2 halves.
    • Mix coffee in one half.
    • Grease cake tin and add vanilla batter and add coffe batter on top and let it spread on itself.
    • Bake it in a preheated oven till toothpick comes out clean.
    • Cool and serve warm.

    Pala kesari/Milk rava kesari

    Ingredients:

    Sooji coarse:-1/2 cup
    Milk:-2 cups
    Ghee:-2 tbsp
    Sugar:-1/2 cup
    Roasted nuts :-to garnish

    METHOD:
    • Roast sooji in ghee and add milk and mix without lumps.
    • Cook on slow flame stirring continously till sooji is cooked in milk.
    • Add sugar and mix well.
    • Cook till required consistency and garnish with nuts.

      Marble cake /Zig zag Cake/Choco vanilla cake


      Ingredients:

      All Purpose flour/Maida:-1 cup
      Sugar:-3/4 cup
      Oil:-1/4 cup
      Salt:-1/4 tsp
      Cocoa Powdwer:-2 tbsp
      Baking powder:-2 tsp
      Vanilla essence:-1 tbsp
      Eggs:-2
      Milk:-1/4 cup

      METHOD:
      • Preheat the oven at 375F.
      • Sift flour.baking powder,salt together and set aside.
      • Beat eggs n sugar until creamy.
      • Add half of milk,oil,vanilla essence to egg mixture and mix well.
      • Add flour mix and fold gently till well mixed.
      • Divide the batter into 2 parts.
      • Dissolve cocoa without lumps in the other half of milk and mix in one part of batter.
      • Grease a baking dish and pour a laddle full of vanilla batter and let it spread itself.
      • Now pour a laddle of cocoa batter and repeat the process till both batters complete.
      • U can run a toothpick in the batter to get a zigzag design.
      • Bake it for 35-40 min till a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
      • Let it cool on wire rack and serve.
