Dilkush/Dilpasand/Bread with sweet filling

I guess every one of us must have tasted this delicacy at sometime in our life and must have instantly fallen in love for the coconut interior and soft chewy exterior and yes,,I'm no exception...I vaguely remember eating it as a child in famous iyengar bakery but as time passes by,it somehow took back seat and I haven't tasted in the past few years...I suddenly remembered when I saw it on some tv show and gave a try...it got finished pretty soon and was delicious....

Ingredients:

All purpose flour:-1 cup
Active dry yeast :1/2 tbsp
Honey:-1 tbsp
Eggwash/milk:-1 tbsp
Water:-1/2 cup
For filling:-
Sweetened coconut:-1/4 cup
Tutty fruity:-2 tbsp
Ghee fried cashews,almonds,raisins:-1/4 cup
Sugar:-2 tbsp

Method:

Dissolve honey in warm water and add yeast and wait for proofing.
Mix all ingredients in filling and set aside.
Make a smooth dough with yeast mix and let it rise in a greased container.
Punch it down and divide into 2 balls and make thick rotis out of them.
Spread the filling mix on one roti and cover it with other roti and seal the edges and let it rise again.
Brush with eggwash or milk for golden crust.
Bake in preheated oven for 35 to 40 min at 350f.
Cool on wire rack and slice and serve.
