Well,all above is history now for my family...one fine morning,a sudden enlightenment engulfed us and we realized we have had enough of this and we reached the saturation point.No one wants to eat it now but my love for it earlier made me buy 2 big packs and stocked them already.(not that we hate it now,,it's jus I-don't-want-cereal-now phase :) )..
Now there is a opened pack lying untouched and it needed immediate attention before it goes rancid.Hubby is not going to take pity and have it as-is.Even after pleading,I'm sure he would make a face.
So then the inventor in me woke up and i made this recipe.The recipe is so simple and u will love the final result.here goes the recipe
Honey bunches of oats( ground finely):-1 cup
Cocoa powder:- 1/4 cup
All purpose flour:-1/4 cup
Butter :- 1/3 cup
Cashew nut bits:-1/4 cup
Baking soda:-1/2 tsp
Vanilla essence:-1 tsp
Grind honey bunches,cocoa powder,sugar,baking soda,all purpose flour together to fine powder.
Mix softened butter in the dry mix and make it like crumble.
Beat egg and essence together and add to crumble to make a stiff dough.
Add cashew hits and make cookies of desired shape.
Bake in preheated oven at 350f till done.
Cool on wire rack and serve.
